Education and workforce development opportunities abound in and around Caldwell County and provide easy access for quality lifelong learning.  Caldwell Community College and Technology Institute (CCC&TI) ranks as one of the best community colleges in North Carolina.  Residents reside in the shadow of Appalachian State University, Lenoir Rhyne College and the new North Carolina Center for Engineering Technologies.   With the addition of ASU’s off-site facility at CCC&TI, Caldwell has the distinction of housing the first campus in the nation to house a high school, community college and four-year college students on a single campus.
