Implementation Plan
The “hows” of the Consensus Community Strategy implementation
involve the structures, processes, personnel and partnerships that
will enable all of the organizations in Caldwell County to best
work together to move the entire area forward. While existing programmatic
and personnel capacity will be leveraged for implementation, this
does not preclude implementation partners from enhancing or refocusing
capacity to meet the goals of the Consensus Community Strategy. In
fact, Market Street firmly believes that the implementation
of Caldwell 20/20 will require significantly more capacity and
staff.
By “connecting the dots” of local strategic efforts
through the implementation of the Consensus Community Strategy,
stakeholders will experience new synergies related to community-serving
efforts from program officers and key organizational representatives
working together for possibly the first time. If the work groups
are established for the primary goals areas, the meetings could
serve as dynamic work sessions and “brainstorming” opportunities
for practitioners to confirm the community’s key needs and
how to address them.
By coming together under a new partnership for economic and community
development, the municipalities, Caldwell County, and the Caldwell
County Chamber can demonstrate to local citizens and companies
that the region is united behind a progressive effort for change. This,
in turn, has the potential to motivate citizens from all reaches
of the county to volunteer and contribute their time, effort and
money to the Caldwell 20/20 strategic implementation efforts.
Ultimately, the success of the community will be determined by the
extent its public and private stakeholders express a willingness
to partner in new and exciting ways to build a better local tomorrow.
